By February 28, 2022, TEGNA's footprint included 64 television stations across 51 distinct markets. Founded in 1906, the company initially operated as Gannett Co., Inc. before adopting its current name, TEGNA Inc., in June 2015. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Tysons, Virginia.
