Mechel PAO, an entity established in 2003 and headquartered in Moscow, Russia, operates across the mining, steel production, and energy generation sectors. The Steel division is responsible for manufacturing and distributing various steel goods, including unfinished steel items, specialized and carbon-based long products, flat products made of carbon and stainless steel, and processed metal goods like forged components, stamped parts, fasteners, railway tracks, and ferrosilicon. Within the Mining division, the company extracts and markets coking and steam coals, intermediate products (middlings), coke and other chemical derivatives, along with iron ore concentrate. The Power division is dedicated to producing and selling both electricity and thermal energy to external clients. Furthermore, Mechel PAO offers logistics services such as transshipment and distributes electricity. The company adopted its current name, Mechel PAO, in March 2016, having previously been known as Mechel OAO.
