Kraken Robotics Inc. is a marine technology enterprise specializing in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of advanced, software-driven sensors, power systems, and specialized robotic equipment for underwater applications. These solutions are primarily utilized by unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) serving both military and commercial sectors. The company's operations are divided into two principal segments: Sensors and Platforms, and Power. Its diverse product portfolio includes AquaPix Miniature Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Sonar (MINSAS), an adaptable sonar system, as well as SeaVision, an innovative underwater laser imaging technology. Additionally, Kraken offers the Kraken Active Towed Fish (KATFISH), a towed underwater vehicle engineered for high-speed, high-resolution seabed mapping. Their autonomous underwater vehicle is named ThunderFish, and ALARS provides an automated launch and recovery system crucial for deploying and retrieving UUVs and their payloads from host vessels. Beyond these offerings, Kraken Robotics designs and produces robust, pressure-tolerant thrusters, drives, battery units, comprehensive battery management systems, and various electronic components. The firm also delivers robotics-as-a-service (RaaS) offerings and develops sophisticated digital signal processing and user interface software tailored for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) sonar applications. With a significant international presence, Kraken operates in Canada, the United States, throughout Europe, and other global markets. Originally incorporated as Kraken Sonar Inc., the company rebranded as Kraken Robotics Inc. in September 2017. Its corporate headquarters are situated in Mount Pearl, Canada.
