Gildan Activewear Inc. operates as a global producer and seller of a broad spectrum of clothing items, distributing its merchandise across the United States, North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. The company offers an extensive array of activewear products, including various T-shirts, fleece tops and bottoms, and athletic shirts. These are marketed under prominent labels such as Gildan, Gildan Performance, Gildan Hammer, Comfort Colors, American Apparel, Alstyle, and GoldToe. In addition to activewear, Gildan provides a comprehensive line of hosiery. This category encompasses athletic, dress, casual, liner, therapeutic, and workwear socks, along with sheer pantyhose, tights, and leggings. These hosiery products are sold under numerous brand names, including Gildan, Under Armour, GoldToe, PowerSox, Signature Gold by Goldtoe, Peds, MediPeds, Therapy Plus, All Pro, Secret, Silks, Secret Silky, and American Apparel. Furthermore, Gildan manufactures underwear for men and boys, as well as women's panties, primarily under the Gildan and Gildan Platinum brands. Its product portfolio also extends to ladies' shapewear, intimate apparel, and accessories, which are offered through the Secret and Secret Silky labels. Gildan's products reach their end consumers via a diverse client base, including wholesale distributors, screen printers, embellishers, traditional retailers, and lifestyle brand companies. The enterprise, founded in 1946, was initially known as Textiles Gildan Inc. before officially changing its name to Gildan Activewear Inc. in March 1995. Its corporate headquarters are located in Montreal, Canada.
