Its Plants & Infrastructure Systems segment delivers large-scale industrial plants and critical infrastructure components, such as gas holders, vibration control systems, water pipes, tunnel excavation machinery, and environmental systems for waste-to-energy conversion, sludge treatment, air quality control, and CO2 capture. The Logistics, Thermal & Drive Systems division encompasses a wide array of products, from the manufacturing of various marine vessels—including passenger, commercial, LNG, and LPG carriers—to specialized marine machinery, boilers, turbines, and propulsion systems. This segment also develops intelligent transport solutions, like electronic toll collection and highway traffic management, and provides industrial and material handling equipment, such as forklift trucks, printing, paper converting, metals, food & packaging machinery, pumps, compressors, hydraulic components, turbochargers, and automotive air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Finally, the Aircraft, Defense & Space segment serves both civilian and governmental sectors by providing civil aircraft and engines, aviation equipment, and comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul services. It further designs and produces advanced space systems, including launch vehicles, rocket engines, and space station components, alongside a robust portfolio of defense systems such as naval ships, specialized military vehicles, defense aircraft, helicopters, and guided weapon systems. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries also offers crucial after-sales services and cybersecurity solutions tailored for industrial control systems. Founded in 1884, the company is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
